Send a report from the app
This is the fastest route, and the one we would rather you took. In Scrollmates, open The Bond tab, tap the gear in its header, and choose Help & Feedback. Pick what the problem is about, write what happened, and send it.
A report beats an email because it already carries the things we would otherwise have to ask you for one at a time: which version you are on, which iPhone and which iOS, and — if you turn that toggle on — a log of what the app actually did over the last seven days. You do not have to be signed in to send one, so a sign-in that will not work is reportable too.
When it sends, the app shows you a reference — eight characters, like ABCD-EFGH. Keep it. Quoting it in an email later tells us exactly which report you mean.
What a report contains
- The category you picked and the description you typed.
- Your email address, but only if you switch on Email me about this report. Leave it off and the report still reaches us — we just cannot follow up.
- The app's version and build, your iPhone's model, and its iOS version.
- A diagnostic log of the last seven days — launches and foregrounds, sync results, timings and error codes — but only if you turn that toggle on; it is off unless you choose it. No app names, no minute counts and no block list, and nothing you typed elsewhere in the app. While you are bonded it also records the moments a shield went up and the pool ran out — facts your bond's server already holds; while you are solo those are stripped out before the report is sealed. Review what will be sent shows you the actual log before you send it.
- Your account, if you are signed in — which is what lets us look at the other side of the problem you are describing. Sent while signed out, a report arrives with no account attached to it.
Your iPhone encrypts the report before it leaves, to a key whose other half we hold and our server does not. What arrives here is a sealed envelope: the server stores it and hands it back to us, and cannot read a byte of it. That is a technical boundary rather than a promise of restraint. A report is kept for 180 days and then deleted, and you can delete one sooner yourself — Help & Feedback lists the reports you sent from this iPhone, and deleting one there removes it from our server too. The Privacy Policy has the rest of it.
Or write to us
support@scrollmates.app reaches us for anything — a problem, a question about a subscription, or a note about these pages. An email carries none of the diagnostics above, so tell us what you can: the version, the iPhone, and what you were doing when it went wrong.
For a question about your data — a copy of what we hold, a correction, or a deletion you cannot perform in the app — the address is privacy@scrollmates.app, and we answer those within 30 days.
Scrollmates is operated by INNOV8 VENTURES COMPANY LIMITED, Ngu War (2) Street, Malikha Housing, 16-18, Thingangyun, Yangon, Myanmar.
How long we take
Scrollmates is made by two developers, so a few days is realistic and the same afternoon is not. If a week goes by with nothing, send the reference again — a reply lost on the way is far likelier than one we decided not to send.
Deleting your account
You do not need us for this. In the app, open The Bond, tap the gear, and choose Delete account. Your own server-side data goes immediately and the app wipes its local container — there is no grace period and no undo. It does not cancel a subscription either: that belongs to your Apple Account, and only you can cancel it, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions. If you were bonded at the time, the bond's own rows stay for 30 days so your scrollmate's side still works. The Privacy Policy sets out the whole of it, and the Terms of Use cover what ending it means for a subscription.
