Doomscrolling is easier to beatwith a friend.
You and your scrollmate share one pool of minutes a day for the apps that pull you in. When either of you scrolls, it goes down.

2h 8m left of 3h 30m
Who would you pick?
It works best with someone you already talk to every day.
Tip: pick someone a little better at it than you, but not so much better that you feel bad.
Honestly underrated. They already see you scrolling in bed at 2am.
- are you still on your phone
- no
- i can see your light under the door
They'll hype you up and roast you in equal amounts, which is kind of perfect.
- so proud of you
- you're only at 2 hours today before lunchtime
- leave me alone lol
Great if you're on the same team. Maybe skip it if it'll turn into a "who scrolled more" argument.
- you've been on your phone all evening
- so have you
- that is not the point
Zero embarrassment. They've already seen you at your worst.
- 7 hours??
- it was a rough week
- it's tuesday
A nice excuse to check in with each other every day.
- Off day?
- yep
- That explains the 2 hours

How it works
Invite your person
Send them a code. Before they say yes, they see exactly what you'll both be able to see.
Share one pool of minutes
Pick the apps that eat your day. Every minute either of you spends in them comes off the same daily pool.
Slow down together
When the pool runs low, your apps get shielded. You can still claim a few minutes, but your scrollmate will see.
They see your minutes.Never your apps.
The apps you pick stay private to you, and we can't see them either. No ads, no trackers. Read the privacy policy if you like the details.
FAQ
Quick questions
Can my scrollmate see which apps I use?
No. Your scrollmate sees how many minutes you've spent and whether you're scrolling right now. The apps you pick stay private to you, and we can't see them either.
Is it an app blocker?
Sort of. Your apps get shielded as the pool runs low, but you can always claim a few minutes when you actually need them. What really does the work is someone else watching the same number.
Do we both have to pay?
No. One subscription covers both of you, and either of you can be the one who gets it. Using Scrollmates on your own is free.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet. Scrollmates is built on Apple Screen Time, so for now you'll both need an iPhone on iOS 18 or later.
Can we stop being scrollmates?
Yes, either of you can end the bond whenever you like. We'll let your scrollmate know, so nobody's left wondering.
